Long ago, before The Fall, the Gods once interacted casually with the mortal world and coexisted peacefully for centuries. Within time, greedy mortals became ungrateful of the paradise that the Gods had gifted them. Lead by Kane, an insurgence infiltrated their Kingdom in Elysium, murdering many of the Gods who once presided over them. By Kane's hand, the King of the Gods was assassinated.
All hope was lost. The King of the Gods was dead and only a few deities survived the assault. The power of the deceased Gods was bestowed upon a few mortals who demonstrated traits worthy of divinity. Although the roles of several Gods were able to be replaced, the soul of the King lie trapped within his own Lightning Spear, now wielded by the nefarious usurper Kane.
Ceres wept over the death of her King, but soon saw an opportunity for a better world. Together with a few of the surviving Old Gods they could rebuild the realm. To complete this daunting task, she gathered talismans across the old world and began to sow these seeds into new realms. This act provided vestige for mortal survivors to escape the world of ruin. It became the dawn of wonder and enchantment. The rebirth of the world as we knew it. An opportunity to make a difference peeked over the horizon, along with the hope to forge a new future.
